2000 Series Led Industrial Beacon Explosion-Proof Led Beacon

New beacon for ATEX Zone rated hazardous environments highlights high-intensity LED array producing maximum light output and lens fill

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - - - Federal Signal has recently released a redesigned version of its 2000 LED Beacon for hazardous locations. Employing the current 2000 Series housing and lens design, the new explosion-proof LED beacon introduces an entirely new power supply and light source based on eXtreme Light Technology (XLT(TM)). Designed to meet the stringent needs of industrial customers, XLT is a high-intensity LED array that provides maximum light output in tandem with superior optics.

The 2000 LED is Federal Signal's first LED Beacon that is available in both a low-voltage 24VDC model and a "multi-volt" configuration that includes a circuit capable of automatically compensating for different input voltage ranges. The multi-volt configuration enables the beacon to operate from 110VAC to 240VAC 50/60Hz with no change to the product. Current draw is 500mA@24V, 220ma; and 110mA@110V-240VAC.

The 2000 LED is activated through direct application of power or by contact closure from a remote field device. The light may be operated in "steady-on", "slow-flash" (60fpm) or "rapid-flash (85fpm) depending on the position of the terminal block wiring. Additionally, a remote telephone model is available that initiates illumination when the phone rings.

Approved by ATEX, IEC and Ex, the 2000 LED is available in amber, blue, green, red and yellow, as well as three operating modes (steady and two flashing). The IP66 closure is constructed of LM6 or A356.0-T6 aluminum; and features integral cast mounting feet. Unit measures 250mm high x 282mm wide x 211mm deep.
