Saar Hartmetall USA introduces the Gerima SKF series of portable edge-milling tools to the North American market. These lightweight and durable beveling tools utilize index-able carbide inserts, with various coatings, to mill carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper or plastic of any thickness.
The tools are specially designed to mill straight edges, contoured edges and cutouts smoothly and efficiently with little or no chatter. The SKF beveler series offers adjustable depth control and is capable of chamfering up to a 15 mm width. The SKF also makes an excellent deburring tool by cutting radius edges from 2 mm to 6 mm. The machines can accept various interchangeable mill heads of any angle between 10o to 80o and are equipped with variable speed 110V motors.
The tool's design will give the operator more control to cut a wider variety of materials. This is the ideal shop tool for weld preparation or deburring of metal parts.
