ATEN Technology Introduces Company's First 19-in. Dual Rail CAT5 Integrated LCD KVM Switch

KL1508 and KL1516 Join the Market's Most Expansive Line of Integrated LCD Consoles

NEW YORK, Oct. 24 / / -- Interop New York 2007, The Javits Center, Booth # 419 -- ATEN Technology, Inc., an innovator of high-quality KVM (keyboard/video/mouse) and remote connectivity products to centrally manage servers, network devices and IT infrastructure, today announced here at Interop New York 2007 the launch of the company's first 8- and 16-port Dual Rail CAT5 Integrated LCD console in 19" screen configurations. ATEN is also launching these new KVM switches in 17" LCD screen configurations. The new KL1508/KL1516 CAT5 LCD KVM products are priced competitively starting at $2,099 for the 8-port 17" model up to $2599.95 for the 16-port 19" unit. Using daisy chain technology, the products can access up to 256 and 512 computers. In addition, the KL1508/KL1516 can be expanded for remote management of servers and data center devices when connected to ATEN's CN5000 KVM on the NET control unit.

"ATEN Technology has successfully launched 21 integrated LCD KVMs to date with more in the pipeline and we see much penetration for these products within data centers of all sizes that need to conserve precious rack space," said Miranda Su, vice president of sales and marketing, ATEN Technology.

The new KL1508/KL1516 units provide single user control through daisy chaining for up to 512 servers. Cable management is the key differentiator of these units by using standard CAT5 wiring for KVM to server separation of up to 130' versus bulky coax cabling -- and still maintaining the highest video quality. Secondary ports enable added console extension for local server access as well as remote IP access via the CN5000. These new integrated LCD KVMs boast 1280 x 1024 video resolution, offer compatibility with Windows, Novell, Unix and Linux environments, and support PS/2, USB, SUN and serial platforms.

Other Highlights of the KL1508/KL1516
o A single console controls up to 8 (KL1508) and 16 (KL1516) computers
o PS/2, USB, Serial keyboard and mouse emulation
o Pushbutton, Hotkey, OSD for port selection
o Auto-scan feature
o Hot-pluggable
o Two-level password security -- up to four users plus administrator
