Turbotec's New Enviro-Pak Provides Free Hot Water to Restaurants

Windsor, CT -Restaurant owners can now get free hot water by capturing the otherwise wasted heat currently piped away from their refrigeration or central air conditioning system. The Enviro-pak, manufactured by Turbotec Products, Inc. is a compact heat exchanger designed to be used with light commercial AC systems in the 1.5 to 5 ton range, or with refrigeration systems in the 1.5 to 5 ton range.

The compact and highly efficient heat recovery system uses excess refrigerant energy to reduce water heating equipment load and provide free domestic hot water for cooking and cleaning. Since the system can be connected to either the central air-conditioning sysytem or the refrigeration sysytem, Enviro-Pak is ideally suitedfor restaurant, catering, and institutional food-preparation service applications, and allows these business to reduce their "carbon footprint".

The Enviro-Pak system is compatible with all commonly used refrigerants including R-22 and the new ozone friendly HFC-R410a air-conditioning refrigerants, and R-134a for refrigeration sysytems, making it extremely environmentally friendly. Additionally, when connected to a resturant refrigeration system, payback is estimated to be just one to two years for restaurants in Boston, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Dallas and Miami.

Immediately available, The Enviro-Pak is quiet, comes with either a white powder coat or stainless steel jacket, features indicator lights for operational safety diagnostics. An optional isolation valve kit is available for water and refrigerant connections. The unit can be easily installed by a licensed HVAC contractor and comes with a five year limited warranty.

Turbotec, a world leader in enhanced heat transfer technology, manufactures a diverse range of high performance heat exchangers and flexible connector products for virtually any space conditioning or refrigeration applications in the automotive, biomedical, plumbing, water heating or aerospace markets.
