Best Glove Goes Hi-VIS at NSC

Glove Manufacturer adds Zorb-IT® HV to Hard-working Zorb-IT Family

Chicago, Illinois & Menlo, Georgia - October 15, 2007 - Best Glove Incorporated today unveiled the Zorb-IT® HV glove, the new hi-vis member of its Zorb-IT® family of general purpose gloves, at The National Safety Council's 95th Annual Congress and Expo in Chicago.

The fluorescent orange Zorb-IT HV glove combines high visibility with sure grip to provide the visibility construction and industrial workers need to remain safe. The glove's durable nylon shell is flat dipped in Best's sponge nitrile for unparalleled grease and oil absorption.

Engineered to deliver a sure grip in the most difficult oily, greasy conditions, Best Manufacturing's tough Zorb-IT® glove family beats the competition nearly two-to-one in oil/grease absorption and three-to-one in launderability.

With the introduction of Zorb-IT HV, there are now four members of the Zorb-IT glove family: Zorb-IT HV; the original hard-working Zorb-IT® 4550 glove with its durable nylon shell; the cut-resistant Zorb-IT Ultimate 4560 with a shell of cut-resistant Kevlar® fibers spun with stretchable, breathable Lycra®; and the Zorb-IT Extra 4575, which is three-quarter dipped to provide over the knuckle protection. All models feature Best's sponge nitrile and are available in sizes XS-XL.

Best Glove was recently acquired by Showa Glove of Japan. Best continues to operate as a stand-alone company and is now headquartered in Menlo, Georgia. The Showa acquisition of Best creates one of the largest hand protection manufacturers in the world with a product portfolio that encompasses many of the world's most trusted and widely used glove brands. The combination of Showa and Best offers:

o Best-in-class technology. With a focus on research and development, the combined company will be uniquely positioned to continue and accelerate the Best/Showa tradition of introducing new, innovative products.

o Comprehensive hand and arm product portfolio. The high quality of Showa's and Best's products has earned both companies recognition as industry leaders. Combined, the two offer a full range of the highest quality protective gloves to industries ranging from automotive and manufacturing to construction, health care, technology and food service.

o Extensive channel coverage. The merged company will have one of the world's strongest sales and service organizations focused exclusively on hand protection.

o Global production facilities. With global production facilities (U.S., Japan, Guatemala, Vietnam, Malaysia and Canada), the companies will be able to manufacture closer to its customers, increase production capacity and operate under a global business model.
