Towing System automates trailer-to-vehicle hookup.

October 25, 2007 - Designed around steerable truck axle and housed in steel-enclosed chassis, Automated Safety Hitch(TM) becomes integral part of gooseneck trailer or 5th wheel RV and attaches itself to truck or SUV automatically. Handheld controller-operated solution pulls trailers and RVs as level and close to ground as possible for optimal stability. System also adds braking power and stability to towing vehicle, with standard model steering axle able to support pin weights of up to 6,300 lb.

American Automation Technologies, Inc. Launches Breakthrough Towing System

The Automated Safety Hitch(TM) Revolutionizes Transportation of Trailers and RV's

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 12 -- Groundbreaking towing technology will be unveiled this week at the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio when American Automation Technologies, Inc. launches its revolutionary Automated Safety Hitch(TM) system. Among more than seven acres of equine-related commercial displays at the Ohio Expo Center will be a destination exhibit presenting a system that ends the aggravation, frustration and hazards of hooking up a gooseneck trailer.

More than 650,000 guests of the "World's Largest Single Breed Horse Show" will have the chance to see first hand The Automated Safety Hitch(TM), now promoted by Bloomer Trailers. Designed by a professional engineer in the aeronautics industry, the towing device is radically changing the way people pull their trailers and RV's. It is the ideal way to pull trailers level and as low to the ground as possible to obtain the maximum design stability of the trailer.

The Automated Safety Hitch(TM) system, designed around a top-of-the-line steerable truck axle and housed in a steel enclosed chassis, becomes an integral part of the trailer or 5th wheel RV and attaches itself to the truck or SUV automatically. A hitching process that once took physical strength and patience is now simple and quick with the use of rancher and innovator Joe Jamieson's latest invention.

"Every time I went to a horse show or rodeo, I saw people struggling with the hook up of their gooseneck trailers. By the time they had backed up their truck, gotten under the gooseneck and manually lowered the trailer to the vehicle, they were aggravated and sometimes scratched up. Their truck and/or trailer were occasionally damaged, too," said Jamieson, president of American Automation Technologies, Inc. "We've eliminated all of that with this technology. Everything is automatic."

Jamieson found this technology would be welcomed in the RV world where vacationers and retirees hooking up 5th wheel RV's were having the same problems as his fellow horse enthusiasts, ranchers and farmers. With The Automated Safety Hitch(TM), travelers are spending less time and headache attaching and detaching their RV and more time having fun.

Using a handheld controller, users of The Automated Safety Hitch(TM) stand by and watch as the device automatically attaches itself to the towing vehicle. Drivers back their truck or SUV to within a few feet of the trailer or RV. They simply connect two safety chains, press the switch on the controller and watch as the trailer or RV is slowly and safely pulled to and attached to the vehicle. Two safety pins are inserted into latch assemblies. An electrical cord is plugged into the vehicle and the user drives away. Detachment is just as simple and quick.

The system adds braking power and stability to the towing vehicle with a standard model steering axle able to support pin weights of up to 6,300 pounds. Models are also available with a steering axle made to handle pin weights of up to 8,000 pounds. All axles are made by a corporation that manufactures truck axles for Ford Motor Co. and General Motors. This added trailer support allows drivers to use lighter trucks and SUV's to pull their gooseneck trailers and 5th wheel RV's. Users of The Automated Safety Hitch(TM) immediately appreciate that it also extends the wheelbase of the tow vehicle, allowing for greater stability and a safer drive.

The Automated Safety Hitch(TM) economy unit is available for $5,900.00. The basic unit is offered with a U.S. MSRP of $7,250.00 while the Joe Jamieson Deluxe Unit is offered with a U.S. MSRP of $8,750.00.
