Access Control Software complies with ADA standards.


October 17, 2007 - Utilizing ODBC-compliant database, Frontier(TM) v5.7.4 provides real-time monitoring for access doors and alarm points for local and remote locations. Users can define macros for auto and manual basis on doors, outputs, alarms, database groups, media sequences, and media switches. Lock Exempt feature allows emergency workers access in critical situations, while User Inactivity feature automatically logs off users when inactive for predetermined duration.

Matrix Systems Releases New Frontier(TM) Access Control Software-Version 5.7.4


Dayton, Ohio-(Sept 27, 2007)-- Matrix Systems, a Dayton, Ohio-based turnkey access control and security solutions provider, introduced the Frontier(TM) Version 5.7.4 access control software upgrade, a comprehensive security solution that provides real-time monitoring for access doors and alarm points for local and remote locations.

Frontier is a proven software that now includes new features such as hot fail-over door controllers, guard tour, additional compliance with newly-added Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, plus compatibility with newly-partnered software companies, EasyLobby® and STOPware(TM) visitor management systems, and OSI Security Devices Inc., wireless readers.

The following features are now standard with Frontier software:

o Lock Exempt-allows emergency worker access in critical situations such as facility lockdowns.

o Macros-allows defining macros for both an auto and manual basis on doors, outputs, alarms, database groups, media sequences, media switches.

o Enhanced Log-On Control-allows greater control over which employees can access workstations and building security network.

o User Inactivity-automatically logs off users when inactive for a predetermined duration.

The Frontier 5.7.4 uses Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server, XP, Vista, plus SQL Server 2005, and Crystal Reports XI. Frontier is an open architecture program utilizing an ODBC-compliant database allowing access by third party programs or interfaces. Frontier also provides integration with photo ID badge-producing software, ad-hoc reporting, CCTV, DVR, fire system secondary annunciation and infant abduction.
