Advantech Launches 4U Rack Mount Chassis for General Purpose Industrial Applications
Cincinnati, Ohio - 10/04/2007) - The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces the IPC-630 4U rack mount compact chassis, an improved version of Advantech's most popular chassis, the IPC-610. The improvements include front panel status LEDs, a front access panel door latch which may be locked, and easy front access to the removable fans, including the filters, which are made of a new long lasting washable nylon material. The IPC-630 boasts a new silver finish which reflects renewed attention to quality and utilization of the highest industrial technical standards. The four LED indicators on the front panel provide convenient operational status indication for power supply, system fan, thermal condition, and hard disk.
The IPC-630 supports both PICMG 1.0/1.3 backplanes of up to 15 slots and ATX motherboards. Behind the lockable front door is access to the I/O port connectors and disk drives. Two USB ports and one serial port are accessible for convenient access to the most commonly used ports. There's a shock mounted removable disk drive carrier providing three front-accessible 5.25" and one 3.5" drive bay and one 3.5" internal drive bay. The chassis includes an anti-vibration bracket to hold even full length expansion cards firmly in their slots. Several high capacity power supply options are available including redundancy.
