PDF Documents Digital Signing
Solingen, 10/03/2007
With Version 5.0 of the pdf-DocPro software solution, UNIVERSE Software GmbH presents a new solution for digitally signing PDF documents. With just a few entries, every user can sign documents with an electronic signature that complies with the (e.g.) German Signature Law (SigG) to, for example, produce and send legal PDF invoices and documents. The solution costs $69 plus VAT and is available as a free trial download at www.pdf-office.com.
In the day and age of viruses, spam, phishing, etc., it is increasingly important for businesses of all sizes to protect documents against manipulation and to prove the authenticity of the information they contain. Also, e-mail invoicing represents a significantly faster, simpler, and most importantly more cost-effective billing method than post or fax. Lawmakers have defined clear specifications for e-mail invoicing, which are described in the German Signature Law (SigG) as well as in § 14 of the German Value-Added Tax Law (UStG). According to these specifications, every invoice sent electronically must have what is known as a "qualified signature".
Solingen-based software specialist UNIVERSE Software GmbH's pdf-DocPro is a solution for extensive retroactive setting of PDF document characteristics. And it now also includes legally compliant electronic signing capabilities of PDF invoices and documents of all kinds.
From setting document security, to assigning passwords, choosing search terms to find data easier, document compression, or the possibility to create PDF documents compatible with many versions, pdf-DocPro offers everything a professional PDF user needs.
The program is available for Windows 95 and later, MacOSX and Linux, and costs $69.00. UNIVERSE Software has kept to its usual practice of including updates and upgrades in the price. A free test version is available for download at www.pdf-office.com
