Delivering open loop control, MAE® Motors offer holding torques from 12-2,018 oz-in., depending on model. HY Series comes in NEMA Sizes 16, 17, 23, and 42 with low rotor inertia, while Size 34 HN Series offers calculated balance between low rotor inertia and high torque. SUITED FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE POSITIONING APPLICATIONS
MAE® brand hybrid stepper motors are engineered to deliver accurate open loop control for a wide range of high-performance positioning applications. Three series of MAE brand motors in various standard NEMA frame sizes provide users with ideal power solutions benefiting from stepper technology.
MAE "HY" Series hybrid steppers (Sizes 16, 17, 23, and 42) feature low rotor inertia for maximum possible acceleration; MAE "HN" Series motors (Size 34) offer a calculated balance between low rotor inertia and high torque; and MAE "HS" Series motors (Sizes 17, 23, and 34) exhibit superior torque characteristics.
Holding torques (bipolar) ranging from 12 oz-in (8.7 Ncm) to 2018 oz-in (1425 Ncm) can be achieved, depending on model. Low detent torque to holding torque ratios for MAE "HN" and "HS" models further contribute smooth operation and the fine positioning capability required for microstepping.
All MAE brand motors deliver step resolutions of 1.8º (200 steps per rev) in full-step mode, incorporate precision-honed stators and ground rotors promoting tight air gap and maximum performance, and are CE approved. Motors can be supplied with 4, 6, or 8 leads and single- or doubled-ended shafts upon request. Customization options to suit applications include gearboxes, encoders, shaft details, and leadwire-connector assemblies, among others.
