Storage Systems optimize usable warehouse space.

October 15, 2007 - Able to store product 2-5 pallets deep, Push Back systems maximize cubic storage capacity in distribution center or warehouse by placing product in lanes rather than aisles. Gravity moves product on nesting carts into picking positions using last in/first out inventory management. Interlocking structural cart design, available in roll formed steel or structural steel rack configurations, stores various SKUs on different levels of lanes to facilitate product access.

High Density Push Back Systems Provide Optimized Warehouse Space

Shelving, Inc. Push Back systems average an occupancy rate of 80 - 90% more product storage than traditional rack systems.

Auburn Hills, MI-Shelving, Inc. (www.shelving.com) announces it now stocks a complete line of space saving, high density, Push Back systems that can be used in many industrial applications. Maximizing cubic capacity is key in running a well-organized distribution center or warehouse. A Push Back rack system stores product two to five pallets deep optimizing warehouse space by placing product in lanes rather than aisles.

"A disorganized warehouse negatively affects every part of a business-from productivity to employee safety to overall ROI," said Joe Schodowski, president of Shelving, Inc. Without an efficient storage solution like a Push Back system, a business can quickly accumulate inaccurate inventories, unexpected overstocks, unscheduled downtime, and overcrowded or inefficient use of space.

Push Back system allows for deep storage at each rack level and convenient pick access to a variety of stock keeping units. Gravity constantly moves the stored product on nesting carts into picking positions using last in/first out inventory management. The system features a structural cart design and is available in either roll formed steel or structural steel rack configurations. Options include standard and level covered carts to accommodate special pallet requirements.

Shelving, Inc. comes into a potential client's space and asks many questions, and when they see inefficient use of space, they recommend solutions. They also ask for a velocity report to analyze which products are moving and which ones are not. "Customers who use our Push Back system are amazed at the space-saving results and they love the fact that the carts, rails and support structure are produced from structural components; with the only mechanical parts in the system being the four wheels per cart," added Schodowski.

Why Push Back rack systems?
· Better use of warehouse space - Push Back offers up to 90% more product storage than selective rack systems

· Store a variety of SKUs on different levels of lanes for easy product access

· Interlocking carts help percent dangerous jamming and costly product damage

· Increased selectivity - up to 400% more selectivity than drive-in racks

· High storage density coupled with selectivity for faster pick rates

· Color coded carts for easy visual inventory

· Large target for loading and unloading

· Maximizes space utilization

· "Last in, first out" inventory
