Brady Introduces the IP Series Printer System:Just Load, Click, Print

MILWAUKEE - (September 6, 2007) - Brady Corporation (NYSE:BRC), a leader in high-performance
marking and wire identification, is pleased to announce a revolutionary thermal transfer
industrial printer that utilizes smart cell technology - the Brady IP(TM) Series Printer
System. It's the first system of its kind that lets the printer, material, ribbon and software
communicate together. With these innovative printing capabilities, users can simply load the
material, click the software interface, and easily print a variety of labels, tags, and sleeves.
This hassle-free printer enables on-demand, just-in-time printing to help manufacturers get the
job done.

The new system offers considerable time savings over other printers, according to Timothy
Mendez, Senior Technician, Quality Control for Panel Control Systems: "With the old machine it
takes probably 10 to 15 minutes to change materials. With the new machine, it's about five
minutes at the absolute most. It's pretty much load the material, close the lid, open the
software and you're ready to go."

The Brady IP(TM) Series Printer System offers a variety of capabilities and benefits:
. Cut set-up time
. Improve productivity
. Reduce waste
. Operate cost-effectively
. Optimize print integrity

Through bi-directional smart cell technology, the printer recognizes the correct material and
ribbon combination, visually tracks usage levels and adjusts sensor position - providing users
with quick access to vital printing information.

Using Brady's Bradysoft(TM) or Labelmark(TM) software, the printer automatically adjusts
material parameters, print speed and heat settings to reduce set-up time and allow users to
print faster than ever before. The software also simplifies material change outs and eases
operator training.

"We know our customers use a variety of materials in their facilities and deal with the demands
of a cross-functional workforce. When developing this printing system, Brady wanted to make it
simple for customers to switch materials, train their work force, maintain cost efficiencies and
provide optimal print integrity," said Nicole Nelson, Brady Product Marketing Manager.

The Brady IP(TM) Series Printer System, available in 300 or 600 dpi, has a straight path to
loading media and ribbon. This eliminates the need to wind and thread material through a
complicated series of mechanics. Plus, the ribbon spindle is automatically centered, helping to
reduce ribbon wrinkle. The centered sensor with adjustable media grips reduces print drift and
improves calibration so customers print exactly what they want the first time. In addition,
automatic self-calibration reduces label and sleeve waste to help consumers cut material costs.
The top-loading design and lightweight construction save work space. Every feature was designed
with the end-user in mind and how Brady could simplify the printing process.

"The Brady IP(TM) Series Printers System will revolutionize how our customers print and will
eliminate many of their printing pain points. Installing the system takes a quarter of the time
as other thermal transfer industrial printers. It also takes up substantially less space, saves
time, and - most importantly - drives bottom-line improvements by reducing time and material
waste," added Nelson.

Brady will officially launch the Brady IP(TM) Series Printer System at the 2007 National
Manufacturing Week trade show held in Chicago, Ill., September 24 through September 27.
