New ISO Size 00 & 0 Valves with Serial Bus Communication from ROSS CONTROLS®

ROSS CONTROLS® is excited to announce its new compact, yet versatile Series W66 ISO 15407-2 line of pneumatic valves.

These new valves are available in ISO standard sizes 00 and 0 (18mm and 26mm widths) and represent a state of the art product line with all the "bells and whistles". They are ideal for dense applications where small size really matters. The Series W66 line also fully rounds out ROSS' line of Series W65 ISO 5599-2 valves, which can be mounted together in the same manifold assembly for high versatility in accommodating applications where valves of varying sizes need to be mounted side by side. Together the Series W66 and W65 cover the spectrum of ISO valve sizes from size 00 up to size 3 (00, 0, 1, 2, & 3).

The Series W66 five ported valves (5/2 & 5/3) are available in all the standard configurations, such as 2-position, single solenoid and double solenoid, as well as 3-position open center, closed center, and power center functions. The 18mm size 00 comes with 1/8 ports and a Cv of 0.55, while the 26mm size 0 has 1/4 ports with a Cv of 1.1.

Manifold stations plug together electrically with integrated mating connectors, thus eliminating the need to pull wires through a manifold assembly. The end stations have several termination options including 25 pin D-Sub and 19 pin Brad Harrison connectors. Interposed regulators and flow controls are also available along with many other accessories for manifold pilot supply and exhaust options.

If a Serial Bus control system is desired, this valve line is fully capable of integrating with DeviceNet(TM), ControlNet(TM), Ethernet I/P(TM), and Profibus-DP® systems through its own complement of Serial Bus adapters and outstanding selection of input/output (I/O) modules. These solid state electronic modules are powered by Rockwell/Allen Bradley technology and are IP67 rated. The Serial Bus modules can also be used to control ROSS' Series W65 valves.

ROSS' new Serial Bus communication offering is a completely integrated solution with an extremely fast I/O backplane that uses change-of-state (COS) connections to maximize performance. Modularity features allow easy module replacement with unique latching mechanisms and Auto Device Replacement which allows OEMs to add I/O modules without making changes to the control software. A full set of I/O modules accept signals from sensors, photo eyes, limits and other field input devices as well as providing signals to remote solenoid valves and other output devices. There is a choice of digital, analog, and high-watt I/O modules, which include built-in short circuit and open circuit detection circuitry with electronic feedback.

A single ROSS Serial Bus communication module supports up to a maximum of 63 I/O modules and up to 264 inputs and 264 outputs.
