New Douglas Multiwrapper Produces Excellent Bull's-Eyes in Multiple Lane Production

Alexandria, Minnesota - September 6, 2007

The new Douglas Contour(TM) M-50 Multiwrapper uses a film perfing mechanism in the film feed area that maintains the integrity of one piece of film during the film wrapping process when running multiple lane production. This increases film control, placement, and speed while maintaining excellent inside and outside bull's-eyes. Other traditional methods try to maintain control of multiple pieces of film during the film
wrapping process.

The Contour(TM) M-50 features quick-change wand paths coupled with built-in intuitive programming for maximum adaptability to existing and future products and a large size range. Changeovers are completed in minutes with minimal change.

Unprecedented management of airflow and tunnel heat assures excellent bull's-eyes in single and multiple lane production. To increase package strength for large packs, optional pad and/or u-board can be added. Other features include a side mounted film stand for convenient film roll loading and splicing and a quick-access film cutter assembly for maintenance efficiency.
