LENOX Introduces Q Performance Solution Band Saw Blades

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. - LENOX, a name synonymous with technologically advanced band saw blades and fluids, introduces the new Q Series Performance Solution Band Saw Blade that provides long blade life and smooth cutting blade after blade. "Q" is the proprietary process developed by LENOX that greatly improves the performance and consistency of the band saw blade. The newly developed process produces blades that can provide a smooth and quiet cut and ultimately provide longer blade life.

The Lenox Q Performance Solution series, which includes the QXP and QGT blades, has optimized fatigue characteristics and precision cutting edges. The proprietary backing steel preparation and precision-crafted cutting edge create resistance to breaking and in-turn, long blade life.

"The Q Performance Solution is designed to deliver the lowest cost per cut in production sawing applications," said Gerry Overstreet, product manager, LENOX. "Blade after blade, the QXP and QGT will provide increased productivity and decreased tooling costs."

The QXP series is for use on solids of mild to moderate machinability such as aluminum, carbon steel, alloy, steel, stainless steel and bearing steels. The deep gullet design improves chip carrying capacity enhancing the blade's ability to cut at increased rates, while the extreme positive rake tooth form penetrates with less feed force. The QGT is developed for use on solids of moderate to difficult machinability like aerospace alloys, titanium alloys, tool steels and nickel-based alloys. The special set and tooth profile provides optimum chip formation in work hardening materials. The modified gullet design creates maximum beam strength.

The family of LENOX Q Performance Solution series band saw blades is now available in a variety of sizes from LENOX distributors nationwide.
