Streamlight Introduces the Stinger DS(TM) LED Rechargeable Flashlight

New model features two fully independent switches and shockproof LED performance

EAGLEVILLE, PA, August 16, 2007 - Streamlight® has introduced a new version of its most popular rechargeable flashlight - the Stinger® DS LED. The new model features innovative Dual-Switch(TM) technology that gives industrial professionals additional flexibility when operating under low-light conditions.

"The ability to choose between two switch locations is a major benefit for installation and repair technicians, plant workers and other industrial professionals," said Streamlight Chief Operating Officer Ray Sharrah. "It gives them the flexibility to use one light for virtually any job, from replacing a small machine part to more general uses such as lighting up areas of a shop floor or a customer's basement or attic. In addition, the rechargeable NiCd batteries combined with the LED's durability and power efficiency make the Stinger DS LED a very affordable flashlight for industrial workers to use."

The Stinger DS LED gives professionals full control over the Stinger DS LED's three microprocessor-controlled variable light levels and strobe function from two fully independent switches - one located on the light head and one on the tailcap. The shockproof, three-watt, super-high flux LED generates up to 80 Lumens of light, and Streamlight's proprietary deep-dish parabolic reflector focuses the LED's output into an effective long-range targeting beam with ample peripheral illumination to aid in navigation.

Constructed of machined 6000-series aluminum with a tough anodized finish and non-slip rubberized grip, the Stinger DS LED delivers up to 1.75 hours of continuous runtime per charge at full power, up to 3.75 hours of runtime on medium brightness, and up to 6.75 hours of continuous runtime on the low power setting. A variety of AC and DC charging systems are available with the Stinger DS LED. The new model can also be charged using any existing Streamlight Stinger model charger.

The Stinger DS LED weighs 12.8-ounces and measures 8.85-inches in length, and is backed by Streamlight's limited lifetime warranty. Suggested retail price is $192.95. For more information, please visit http://www.streamlight.com, or call (800) 523-7488.
