Armor-Rail Adds Colonial Style Railing With Structural Fiberglass Turned Balusters

Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) has introduced Armor-Rail®, the structural fiberglass railing system for decks and stairs that makes installation simple and homeowners happy. The new product comes in colors, sizes, and styles for residential or commercial applications, and doesn't need painting. It comes with a lifetime warranty, too.

"We've designed a product that is not only great looking and easy to install, but stronger than its competitors by far," said a company spokesperson. "We've made sure Armor-Rail® passes the tests hands down."

Properly installed, Armor-Rail® deck and stair railing will meet or exceed most building code requirements. The system takes advantage of structural fiberglass technologies that Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) has applied to its lighting poles, and sophisticated fiberglass reinforced products for a variety of industries. Armor-Rail® won't rust, rot, or corrode, even in salt air or adverse weather conditions, and insects won't eat it. It never needs painting, though you can paint it if you want.

The new Colonial railings utilize the same strong, structural fiberglass posts as the other styles. Decorative post tops, innovative mounting brackets, and other accessories complement the system.

"Colonial style railing sections are preassembled, so all you do is attach them to the posts," said Joe Prochak, director of sales and marketing. "Besides, it's so strong you can span twelve feet between posts, and that means fewer posts and brackets that you have to deal with."

The company manufactures Armor-Rail® in three rail heights for commercial or residential use anywhere. A selection of styles is available, including Classic (rectangular rails, round pickets), Traditional (rectangular rails, square pickets), Victorian (shaped top rail, square pickets), and Heritage (shaped top rail, round pickets). Armor-Rail's Clear View style lets the user select locations for tempered glass panels. All of the styles includes standard and adjustable stair railing sections, plus structural posts and columns and a gripable hand rail.

Now a division of GenlyteThomas Group (Louisville, KY), Shakespeare Composite Structures(TM) has since the 1950's pioneered the use of fiberglass reinforced composites. The company is the world leader in fiberglass reinforced composite utility poles, light poles, and related products.
