Beijer Electronics Introduces Two Smaller Operator Panels for Applications With Limited Space

EXTER K10m and EXTER K20m will be the smallest keypad panels in the series, yet machine builders in the packaging, manufacturing, and food and beverage industries benefit from several valuable features.

Both panels have a keypad interface and a monochrome display. There is a great demand for such operator panels in applications with limited space and no need for a graphical display. Typically they are used in smaller machines within the packaging, manufacturing and food & beverage industries.

Quick and efficient information exchange
The new EXTER panels are ideal for applications where machine and process parameters need to be viewed and set. Parameter settings are facilitated by the numerical keypad, and the six function keys can be programmed to represent the most frequently used commands.

Valuable features - built-in or optional
Just like the larger EXTER panels, EXTER K10m and EXTER K20m have an IP66-rated front and built-in support for alarm-handling, multilanguage and recipe management. Communication ports for RS232/422/485 are also built-in. As an extra bonus for a small panel like this, you also benefit from an optional Ethernet connection. This option is suitable when using the panels in Ethernet-based control and motion systems.

High quality monochrome displays
The panels are equipped with monochrome FSTN displays. EXTER K10m offers a resolution of 160x32 pixels and EXTER K20m, 240x64 pixels, which, among other things, enables the use of Asian and Russian characters. The displays also have a dimmable backlight so that they easily can be optimized for the surrounding light conditions.

Easy to convert from previous models
EXTER K10m and EXTER K20m are intended to replace the current CIMREX 10, 12 and 20 models. Users of the CIMREX models can quickly and easily transfer their existing projects to EXTER panels using Beijer Electronics' configuration software, Information Designer.
