Temperature Sensor is used for secondary reference.

August 30, 2007 - Available with 9 or 12 in. long sheath, model 5608 high-temperature platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) features 1/8 in. sheath diameter and special design that lend to short-term repeatability of ±0.02°C from -200 to +500°C in 3.1 in. of immersion. This 100 ohm sensor is available with certificate of compliance or NVLAP-accredited calibration. Options include sensor characterization or full system calibrations, which include performance of sensor and readout together.

500 °C Secondary Reference Temperature Sensor

Better value and performance in dry blocks and in calibrating small sensors

AMERICAN FORK, UT-Hart Scientific, a division of Fluke Corporation and a world leader in temperature calibration products and services, announces the addition of the model 5608 Secondary Reference Temperature Sensor to its line of high-temperature platinum resistance thermometers (PRTs). The one-eighth-inch sheath diameter and special design of this 100-ohm sensor provide excellent short-term repeatability of ± 0.02 °C from -200 °C all the way to 500 °C in only 80 mm (3.1 in) of immersion.

The 5608 may be ordered with a certificate of compliance or an optional NVLAP-accredited calibration from the manufacturer. Options include sensor characterization or full system calibrations that include the performance of the sensor and readout together. This reduces the cost of ordering system calibrations. Both types of calibrations are performed in Hart Scientific's laboratory, NVLAP lab code 200348-0. The option to purchase without a calibration may appeal to international customers, who prefer traceability to their local NMI, as well as those with less demanding calibration requirements. Applications include laboratory calibration and calibration in manufacturing facilities in biotech, medical device, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, and process industries.

The 5608 comes with a nine-inch sheath length or a 12-inch sheath length. For more information, contact Hart Scientific at 800-GET-HART (801-763-1600 internationally), visit their website at www.hartscientific.com, or email info@hartscientific.com.

The Hart Scientific Division of Fluke designs, manufactures, and markets temperature and humidity measurement and calibration equipment. The Hart Scientific product line includes primary standards, thermometer readouts and temperature sensors, temperature baths, industrial calibrators, humidity chambers, humidity readouts, and software. Primary and secondary laboratories, as well as a growing number of manufacturing companies who rely on precise temperature controls for manufacturing processes, use the equipment. These industries include pharmaceuticals, petrochemical, semiconductor, aerospace, and food products.
