AC/DC TIG Welders promote optimal low-end arc starts.

September 4, 2007 - Syncrowave® 250 DX and 350 LX feature low-end DC TIG arc starting capabilities that help prevent burn-through when welding thin metal. While use of 1/6 in. or smaller diameter tungsten electrode is recommended for low-amperage arc starts or welding thin materials, power source's arc starting circuit also provides positive arc starts with 3/32, 5/32, and 1/8 in. dia tungsten. Other features include Coolmate® 3X cooler, universally compatible with any torch.

New Syncrowave® TIG Welder Offers Better Low-End Arc Starts

Syncrowave "Complete Package" includes four FREE gallons of coolant, an $80 value

New Coolmate® 3X cooler universally compatible with any torch

Ergonomic EZ Load(TM) cylinder rack eases cylinder changes

APPLETON, Wis., July 9, 2007-To prevent burn through when welding thin metal, Miller Electric Mfg. Co.'s Syncrowave® 250 DX and 350 LX AC/DC TIG welders now have improved low-end DC TIG arc starting capabilities. While Miller recommends using a 1/6-inch or smaller diameter tungsten electrode for low-amperage arc starts or for welding thin materials, the power source's improved arc starting circuit also provides positive arc starts with larger 3/32-, 5/32-, and 1/8-inch diameter tungsten. The Syncrowave's new low-end arc starting circuit also increases operator convenience and productivity because welders can standardize on one tungsten diameter instead of switching tungsten sizes based on welding amperage and base metal thickness.

To prevent burn through when welding thin metal, Miller Electric Mfg. Co.'s Syncrowave 250 DX and 350 LX AC/DC TIG welders now have improved low end DC TIG arc starting capabilities.

Other major enhancements include a totally redesigned cooling system, the optional Coolmate® 3X, which provides superior heat dissipation and coolant circulation with all styles of TIG torch configurations and cable lengths. The Coolmate 3X features easy maintenance access and a flow meter on the front of the unit to confirm coolant flow.

To simplifying ordering and eliminate the chance of over-looking component, Miller now offers a Syncrowave TIGRunner® Complete package, which includes a Syncrowave 250 DX or 350 LX welder, Coolmate 3X cooler, water-cooled torch kit, 4 gallons of free factory coolant (an $80 value), a gas regulator and accessories. Miller's factory coolant uses a proprietary blend of conditioners and additives that retard algae growth, mineral build-up and also provides better water pump lubrication than plain water.

To ease gas cylinder changes and for increased safety, the Syncrowave running gear features a new, ergonomic EZ Load(TM) cylinder rack that enables the operator to tip a gas cylinder (a standard-size cylinder weighs 140 lbs.) directly onto the apparatus without mechanical lifting devices or straining the operator. Previously, cylinder racks were about 6 in. off the ground.

The Syncrowave 250 DX and 350 LX are covered by Miller's True-Blue® three-year parts and labor warranty. Box 100, Lithonia, GA 30058. Miller Electric Mfg. Co. is a leading worldwide manufacturer of Miller brand arc welding equipment and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Illinois Tool Works Inc.
