New Robot-Guided Thread Verification Unit Inspects Threads

Baltimore, MD- New Vista Corporation has developed a Thread Verification Unit for robot-guided inspection of internal threads in production parts. The all-electric unit checks thread size, depth and quality by powering a gage probe into and back out of a thread. GO gaging, NO GO gaging, and combination gaging are all possible. Three sizes will inspect threads from 3mm to 50mm (#4 to 2").

These servomotor-powered Thread Verification Units are designed for medium-to-long-cycle applications where there can be a variety of part types and thread sizes. Threads are checked successively; each thread inspection takes about one second. Gage probe changes are accomplished by interfacing with a Tool Changing Station.
