Fuseholder Circuit Breaker features 2 mounting options.

August 13, 2007 - Series T9 single pole circuit breakers for overcurrent protection are designed for applications where inrush currents cause nuisance trips or aging of fuse element. Threaded neck version accommodates an IP 65 rated cover for protection against environmental conditions such as jetting water. Snap-in rear mount version supports panel thicknesses ranging from 0.5-3.0 mm. Both models UL standard 1077 for Supplementary Protection, CSA C22.2 235, IEC 60934, and GB17701.

Fuseholder Style Circuit Breaker Now Available for Rear Mounting

SANTA ROSA, Calif., July 23, 2007 - Schurter has added two new mounting types to its popular T9 series fuseholder style, single pole circuit breaker for over current protection. Two types for rear mounting have joined the existing snap-in front panel mount version including a threaded neck style, which is secured using a nut, and a snap-in type. An IP 65 rated cover can be added to the threaded neck version to provide protection against environmental conditions such as dust or jetting water. The rear mount version supports a broad range of panel thicknesses (0.5-3.0 mm). The complete series offers flexibility in design, by fitting a wide variety of customer mounting requirements.

Circuit breakers with the fuseholder style body are ideal substitutes for panel fuses where inrush currents cause nuisance trips or premature aging of fuse element over time. Resetting the circuit avoids unnecessary downtime and maintenance costs associated with fuse replacement; it also eliminates the chance of replacing the fuse with an incorrect current rating, which could result in damage to the equipment. Indication of circuit interruption is also a benefit to using a circuit breaker. The reset button pops out when tripped and remains depressed when pressed to reset. Safe and reliable operation of the T9 series is ensured with a cycling trip-free release.

Typical applications include power supplies, UPS, PDU's, power tools, industrial appliances, medical diagnostic and analysis appliances, lighting, sports and hobby equipment or HVAC products. The T9 series meets UL standard 1077 for Supplementary Protection, CSA C22.2 235, IEC 60934 and GB17701. Current ratings range from 4-16 Amp at 240 Vac and 48/32 Vdc. Lead time is stock to six weeks. Pricing starts at $1.52 each for 100 pieces.
