EPIC Gets Accurate with Hawkeye

St. Charles, IL: EPIC Group, a market leader in the area of Data Synchronization Initiatives, has announced the introduction of its measuring and verification system for trading partners in the Global Data Synchronization arena called "Hawkeye Perfect Measure."

According to EPIC, Hawkeye Perfect Measure addresses the key issue that is missing in any Data Synchronization Project, which is the validity of the measurement data that is registered in the Global Data Sync Network (GDSN) of GS1, formerly the Uniform Code Council and the European Numbering Association. EPIC has developed Hawkeye Perfect Measure as a hardware and software solution that addresses inaccurate measurements, both dimensions and weights, in the Data Synchronization and Transportation Industries, and verifies they are within .005 of an inch accurate.

"It took almost six months to study and analyze the major problem that exists with Data Synchronization," says Greg Weismantel, president and CEO of EPIC, "and particularly the reason why many Data Sync projects either stall or fail."

According to Weismantel, the company learned that the key to the process is to make sure that the data is accurate, as well as being able to verify that the data is accurate on a continual basis, not just one time.

"The retailers/wholesalers involved in Data Sync projects all complain that synchronizing inaccurate data from the Supplier just means that poor data is being moved back and forth in the Global Community, so they question the need to synchronize poor data."
