Ericom Announces Next Generation Desktop Virtualization Solution
Empowers virtualization across the organization
CLOSTER, N.J., July 17 / / - Ericom Software, a leading provider of Enterprise-Wide Application Access solutions, today announces the release of its next generation desktop virtualization solution, PowerTerm(R) WebConnect DeskView. Ericom's solution provides secure anywhere, anytime access to virtual desktops running on industry leading virtualization platforms including VMware, Microsoft, Xen and others.
PowerTerm WebConnect DeskView enables companies to achieve 100% effective desktop virtualization by complementing Virtual Desktop Infrastructures (VDI) with Windows Terminal Services. For organizations implementing Terminal Services, typically only 70-80% of users are able to fully leverage its benefits. The remaining percentage of users cannot leverage Terminal Services because of application compatibility issues and underlying IT requirements. Alternatively, organizations with VDI environments are often prevented from deploying enterprise-wide virtualization due to high costs, power consumption and space requirements.
The PowerTerm WebConnect product line empowers organizations to implement a combination of Virtual Desktops and Windows Terminal Servers, enabling virtualization across the organization in the most cost-effective manner.
