Autotask® Delivers New Integration Tools to Automate Workflow with Third-Party Applications

Autotask's Web Services Expands AutoTaskExtend(TM) Developer Toolkit

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y., July 12 /- Autotask Corporation, the leading provider of web-based business automation and management software for IT service companies, today announced its new Web Services offering that greatly expands the integration capabilities of its software with a growing portfolio of third-party IT applications.

Autotask's Web Services (sometimes referred to as Web APIs) give developers the ability to create custom extensions that allow service-ticket and account data to flow seamlessly between Autotask and nearly any third-party application or web site.

"The door is wide open for our customers and partners to create automated routines for accessing, creating, or modifying their service and account data," said Autotask CEO, Bob Godgart. "Since so many of our customers use our software as their primary services-business operating system, our goal is to give them the ability to integrate Autotask with as many other tools as possible."

The Autotask Web Service is an enhancement of the AutotaskExtend(TM) integration platform (go to http://www.autotaskextend.com/), a set of tools, APIs, web services and utilities that allow technology solution providers to extend the core functionality of Autotask. Included free with the core Autotask application, AutotaskExtend allows users to build custom extensions, create intelligent links to other applications, and even customize the Autotask user interface.

Since the release of AutotaskExtend in July 2006, more than 100 extensions have been built, connecting Autotask with numerous applications and systems that form the core of the IT services ecosystem. Key functionality of the managed services market, such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), quoting, accounting, email security, print management and a myriad of other mission critical applications are now easily integrated with Autotask.

Level Platforms, a leading provider of RMM software, was an early AutotaskExtend Developer, and working with Autotask, used the tools to create a seamless integration between its Managed Workplace application and Autotask.

"Our customers are now able to access the Autotask time and billing functions from inside Managed Workplace," said Dan Wensley, vice president of Development for Level Platforms. "And, at the same time, partners can access the alerts and assets discovered by our software from inside Autotask. The integration is seamless, and represents a new significant time-saver for our mutual customers so they can increase profits."

Additional planned web service capabilities and other developer tools will continue to open up other areas of Autotask to allow tighter, more customized integration with external data and systems.
