Designed for beverage and bottling industry, ultra-lightweight printers feature clamshell-style loading system and push-button release for paper door. Waltham, MA - Extech Data Systems, a leading developer of portable printers for enterprise-wide applications, announces its new portable receipt printers for route accounting, a practice used to reduce the time needed to complete a sale, improve sales force productivity, and create more satisfied customers. With their contemporary design and three wireless options, Extech's printers are available in two-, three-, and four-inch widths and are designed to withstand the rigors commonly associated with the beverage and bottling industry.
Extech's printers are the key component in route accounting for Odwalla (formerly known as Fresh Samantha), the producer and distributor of premium juices. Thanks to features like the high capacity rechargeable lithium ion battery, the busy company is able to complete more receipt prints per charge with less downtime.
Grupo Modelo®, the eighth largest beer maker in the world and owner of the prestigious Corona brand, also employs Extech's portable printing products in their distribution process and route accounting. A clamshell-style loading system and push-button release for the paper door make changing paper rolls in Extech's printers easy and convenient while on the go.
Relevant and historic data for both Odwalla and Grupo Modelo is stored on hand-held computers. This data is read and updated with each visit, and delivery notes and receipts are issued with ease thanks to Extech's printers.
The printers are available with built-in Flash and SRAM memory to manage all features, and built-in detectors monitor temperature, voltage, and paper-out. Multiple communication interfaces and optional integrated Bluetooth(TM) radio are available.
Each of Extech's printers is in-field programmable for firmware, font and logo setup. Print drivers are available for Windows 95, 98, 2000, and XP, and print utilities are offered for all CE and Palm-based operating systems. Special features include resident fonts enabling 10 to 25 characters per inch and an optional built-in, ISO standard, 3-track micro magnetic-card-reader and/or smart card reader. The printers come with a 12-month warranty on all parts including print head.
