TDSHT3 compliance test software supports HDMI compliance test specification version 1.3b. Test suite controls signal generators in closed loop mechanisms for automatic performance of cable and sink tests. It includes DPO70804 real-time oscilloscope, 3.3.1 version of TDSHT3 HDMI compliance test software, DSA8200 sampling oscilloscope, DTG5334 data timing generator with DTGM30 modules, and P7313SMA differential SMA probes.

Tektronix Releases Software for HDMI(TM) Compliance Test (CTS) Version 1.3b Next Generation HDMI Test Software Now Available
BEAVERTON, Ore., July 10 -- Tektronix, Inc. (NYSE:TEK), a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, announced that its TDSHT3 software has been upgraded to support the HDMI compliance test specification version 1.3b. The Tektronix TDSHT3 software now supports all of the HDMI compliance test procedures as per the latest CTS1.3b document. With this upgrade now available, Tektronix offers customers the most complete and cost effective test suite for performing HDMI 1.3b compliance testing.
Tektronix now supports physical layer compliance test solution per the CTS 1.3b specifications using the real time oscilloscopes, sampling oscilloscopes, signal generators, differential probes and test fixtures. TDSHT3 is an HDMI compliance test software resident on a Tektronix oscilloscope controlling the signal generators in a closed loop mechanism to automatically perform the needed complex cable and sink tests.

HDMI 1.3 is the most significant upgrade yet in the specification that has become the de facto standard interface for high-definition devices including DVD players, HD televisions, and the newest gaming devices. HDMI 1.3 defines the latest high-definition (HD) video and audio technology that began hitting the consumer market late last year and continues to roll-out in 2007.

The complete Tektronix test solution for HDMI CTS 1.3b includes high-performance hardware and comprehensive software for design and test engineers in consumer electronics, semiconductor and cable manufacturers. Key elements incorporated into the CTS 1.3b test solution include the new DPO70804 real-time oscilloscope, the new 3.3.1 version of TDSHT3 HDMI compliance test software, DSA8200 sampling oscilloscope for time domain reflectometry (TDR) with 80E03 and an 80E04 modules, DTG5334 data timing generator with DTGM30 modules, and P7313SMA differential SMA probes. Sink testing will also include a choice among the AWG7102 arbitrary waveform signal generator, AFG3102 arbitrary function generator with the DTGM32 module, or AWG710B with a DTGM32 module. The DSA8200 with I-connect software provides the most cost effective and innovative TDR test capability and adds new test capability that provides a cost effective alternate to a VNA based setup.
Pricing and Availability
The U.S. MSRP of the new TDSHT3 is $5,000.00. For existing TDSHT3 customers, the upgrade is $1,000.00. The software is currently available for order and delivery.
