Plastex's Multipurpose Vynagrip Matting Introduced

U.S.-manufactured extruded PVC product leads industry in versatility, quality

VALLEY HEAD, Ala. - July 6, 2007 - Plastex Matting Inc. announces the U.S. availability of Vynagrip, the United Kingdom's highest-rated slip resistance matting. Manufactured at the company's Alabama facility, Vynagrip is perfect for any manufacturing or industrial environment, including inclines.

"The Vynagrip line of matting will absolutely change the way American manufacturers protect their employees, and their profits, from unnecessary harm," said Peter O'Sullivan, sales director for Plastex. "Its extra aggressive tread makes Vynagrip unique in the flooring industry, and the wide open grid is ideal for debris collection in dry spaces or rapid drainage in wet spaces, either indoors or out."

According to the 2005 Liberty Mutual Workplace Safety Index, slip and fall accidents are the second most common workplace injury at 13.7 percent, and incidents have increased 32.3 percent just since 1999. The study found these falls cost nearly $7 billion per year in direct expenses to employers. The National Safety Council further estimates $70 billion per year in follow-on costs, such as workers' compensation payments and medical care.

"In addition to accident prevention, Vynagrip has been scientifically proven in a University of Hertfordshire study to reduce standing fatigue, which boosts both productivity and profitability," O'Sullivan added. "It is a small investment that can have a significant impact for both individual workers and their employers. Plus, the Plastex brand carries a reputation world-wide for the highest quality."

Vynagrip is chemical, oil and acid resistant for all-around heavy duty uses. It is available in standard red, blue and black, but can be manufactured in other colors by request. Vynagrip is available in full 33 ft. long rolls and half rolls, in widths of 2, 3 or 4 ft. It easily contours to uneven floors and cuts to fit odd-shaped spaces.
