Safety Switches provide secure guard door operation.

July 5, 2007 - Able to be mounted to accept actuator on left or right side without changing location of cable, D40A non-contact door switches offers high-visibility, 2-color LEDs that provide at-a-glance status indication at guard door for as-necessary adjustments. Auxiliary contact also allows for remote status indication. Single D40A controller may be used to monitor and connect up to 30 D40A switches. It can also be used as stand-alone safety controller.

Omron STI's New D40A Non-Contact Safety Switches Eliminate Challenges Associated with Conventional Non-Contact Switches

Users can reduce costs by connecting up to 30 switches to a single controller

FREMONT, CA - Omron Scientific Technologies, Inc. introduces D40A non-contact door switches. Users will benefit from high-visibility, two-color LED indicators that provide "at a glance" status indication at the guard door for quick adjustments, as necessary. An auxiliary contact also allows for remote status indication. The D40A switch can be mounted to accept the actuator on the left or right side without having to change the location of the cable.

The D40A controller may be used to monitor D40A non-contact switches, and tongue or key actuated switches, and helps users reduce costs by allowing them to connect up to 30 D40A switches to a single controller. It may also be used as a stand-alone safety controller, or for more complex applications it may be used as a component in the versatile G9SX modular relay system. When used part of the G9SX relay system, users are able to benefit from delayed stops and logical AND functions.
