Measuring 1.5 x 2.0 x 0.5 in., EZ-COMPASS-3AL incorporates 3-axis magnetometer with tilt and temperature compensation and onboard rewritable memory that allows independent storage of up to 20,000 readings, transferable to PC. Unit generates heading, pitch, roll, magnetic field, and temperature over RS232 or RS422 ports. Offered in vertical and horizontal versions, compass measures tilt angles up to ±90 arc-deg and fits 0.9 in. dia openings.

AOSI's newest EZ-COMPASS-3AL LOGGING Compass incorporates a three axis Magnetometer with tilt and temperature compensation and a high capacity onboard rewritable memory that allows independent storage of up to 20000 readings and easy transferable to any PC. The 1.5" x 2.0"x 0.5" module weights about 11gr and generates heading, pitch, roll, magnetic field and temperature over RS232 or RS422 ports by using all solid state components. Compass measures tilt angles up to +-90 arcdeg and includes tilt linearization, hard and soft iron calibrations and high rate of throughput without any moving parts. EZ-COMPASS-3AVL is a vertical version and EZ-COMPASS-3AHL is the horizontal version. Both versions fit 0.9" diameter openings and are able to provide accurate directional and inclination drilling information for almost any drilling assignment. Integrated RS-422 allows data transfer as far as two kilometers from the compass. Major uses include marine and land navigation, vehicle and structure positioning, construction, antenna and satellite tracking among others.
