IRC'S High Speed Digital Termination Networks Feature Near Ideal Responses at High Data Rates, Fast Rise Times

Termination networks characterized to 40GHz, 25ps...

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 14, 2007) - Providing design engineers with a high density network with exceptional high frequency performance, TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division's CHC Series high speed digital termination networks are offered in miniature surface mount BGA packages, making them ideal for high frequency applications with reduced printed circuit board space.

According to Jerry Seams, new business development and applications engineer for IRC Advanced Film Division, the design of the high speed digital termination networks makes them superior to competing products. "Unlike other devices, these networks are planar and have no vias," said Seams. "Not only does this eliminate the large parasitic inductances due to vias, but networks with vias are also prone to significant overshoot due to via inductance. The CHC Series networks feature near ideal responses at high data rates and fast rise times."

The CHC Series high speed digital termination networks' performance is characterized to 40GHz and rise times as fast as 25ps. VSWR is 1.03 at 10GHz.

The CHC termination networks are ideal for high speed digital data transmission applications involving LVDS transmission line termination, memory termination, set-top boxes, high speed routers and data switches, as well as computers and servers.

The CHC Series networks feature a resistance range from 10W to 10KW. Absolute tolerances are to ±1%, ±2 and ±5, with absolute TCRs to ±100ppm/°C. Operating temperature range is -40°C to + 85°C. IRC will also produce devices outside these specifications to meet customer requirements.

Pricing for the CHC Series high speed digital termination networks is $1.10 each in MOQ of 5K pieces. Lead time is from stock to 10 weeks.
