GE Fanuc Embedded Systems Announces DDR-200 High Performance Portable Data Recorder

Industry-leading 100 Mbytes/second continuous recording system

· Supports up to 64 channels

· High throughput sustained over extended periods

· Weighs less than 20 lbs

· Turnkey, out-of-the-box operation

charlottesville, va May 9, 2007 Reflecting rapidly increasing customer demand for very high speed data recording in a wide range of environments. GE Fanuc Embedded Systems today announced the DaqScribe DDR-200 compact high performance portable digital data recorder. With a sustained continuous recording speed of 100 Mbytes/second - unmatched in the industry for either transient or dynamic applications - and a weight of less than 20 pounds, the DDR-200 is designed for recording applications such as weapons testing and jet engine testing. The DDR-200 can be configured with either 32 channels of 24-bit ADC at up to 100 KHz/channel or 32 channels of 16-bit ADC at up to 1.0 MHz/channel. Lower channel counts can be recorded at rates up to 10.0 MHz/channel.

"The DDR-200 responds to the growing need to perform high speed data recording in a wide variety of locations and applications," said Arun Sheth of GE Fanuc Embedded Systems. "It offers performance well beyond that of competing products, and does so in a compact, light weight, portable system - and, as a turnkey system, it enables customers to leverage its capabilities with minimal investment of time and effort."

With support of up to 64 channels of analog input or 32 channel input/32 channel output, user-programmable simultaneous sampling of up to 1.0 MHz/channel is achievable. Programmable gain and filter are supported, and numerous signal conditioning options - for e.g. bridge, ICP, T/C and pressure sensor applications - are also optionally available. Maximum configuration flexibility is achieved as a result of the DDR-200 being based on PC/Windows technology, allowing memory of up to 16 GBytes to be configured along with internal disk storage of up to 640 GBytes. Optional additional storage up to 2.5 TBytes can be configured via an internal RAID controller, giving users the capability of recording data at high sampling rates over extended periods..

The DDR-200 is supplied as a fully integrated hardware and software package that includes a keyboard, TFT LCD screen and carrying case, together with DaqHunter software for immediate user productivity and data management software to ease post-processing of large data files.
