New P&S Screwless Wall Plates Offer Flawless Finish without Removing Devices at Installation

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (May 8, 2007) - Pass & Seymour/Legrand (P&S), a leading provider of electrical wiring devices and home systems, announces a new addition to its line of Screwless Wall Plates. With their sleek beveled edges the wall plates eliminate the need for screws, provide a flawless finish and install quickly and easily.

The new product line features a 2-piece plastic subplate that eliminates the need to remove the electrical device during installation. Simply back the device screws out slightly and snap the subplate together around the device screws to install the wall plate. The cover plate maintains the same sleek design.

"The new plastic subplates are easier to install with the same great look," said Keith Falkenberg, product manager at P&S. "The Screwless Wall Plates are an excellent value, offering an elegant, unblemished finish - a great upgrade to any room."

The Screwless Wall Plates are available in Decorator one-, two-, three- and four-gang plates. The plastic subplate includes an alignment guide to ensure a straight up and down installation, and the wall-hugging plate design eliminates dust buildup. Colors include white, ivory, light almond, black and grey with more options coming soon.
