American Ballast Expands High-Efficiency T5/HO Electronic Fluorescent Ballast Product Line

T5/HO ballasts are ideal for commercial and high bay retrofit lighting projects...

New York - Lightfair International 2007, Booth # 875, (May 8, 2007) - American Ballast, a global commercial and residential power solutions company with worldwide manufacturing capabilities, has expanded its series of high-efficiency T5/HO electronic fluorescent ballasts to include two (254), three (354) and four (454) lamp electronic ballasts. Designed to permit easy retrofitting and replacement of HID systems, the T5/HO Series is ideal for high lumen fluorescent applications such as commercial office, retail, distribution warehouses, parking garages, schools, gymnasiums, and industrial high bay lighting.

"The T5/HO electronic ballasts are becoming a popular ballasts of choice for commercial and high bay retrofit lighting projects as contractors, plant managers and engineers are no longer limited to HID systems for high-light output," said Anthony Mangiaracina, American Ballast director of engineering. "The T5/HO Series ballasts address an industry need by providing significant energy savings while providing a better quality of light utilizing a design that is compatible with most types of lighting control systems."

Offering an advantage for electrical distributors and large facility operators, all models offer universal input voltage 120-277 volts (108-305 volts) which results in fewer models to stock, thus reducing inventory while ensuring correct output voltage.

The T5/HO Series product offering is now available in one-half and three-fourths lamp configurations designed to withstand high operating temperatures. The program start function enables longer lamp life and the T5/HO ballasts do not require a warm-up or re-strike, unlike HID systems.

Designed for use in ENERGY STAR® compliant fixtures, the T5/HO product family meets FCC rules and regulations and ANSI requirements and complies with all applicable state and federal efficiency standards. Through its advanced global technologies and extensive burn-in, full-functional and advanced-life testing procedures, American Ballast confidently offers a 5-year warranty on its T5/HO product family. All American Ballast lighting solutions are UL and CuL Listed.
