Saw Blade makes melt- and chip-free cuts in plastic sheets.

May 14, 2007 - Engineered with corrosion-resistant C-4 micrograin carbide and proprietary grinding techniques, No-Melt blades feature tooth style and side clearances that produce cool, melt-free cuts on extruded profiles and plastic sheets - even when stacked. Blades have 5 in. face rake; 60, 80, 100, or 120 teeth; and 5/8 or 1 in. center hole, depending on diameter selection from 7¼-16 in. Perimeter concentricity and side runout of ±.001 in. also lend to chip- and melt-free cuts.

Cut Plastic Sheets and Extrusions with Forrest Manufacturing's No-Melt Blade

Unique Tooth Style and Side Clearances Produce Cool, Melt-Free Cuts

CLIFTON, New Jersey, May 10, 2007 - Forrest Manufacturing has designed a special No-Melt saw blade that cleanly and easily cuts melt-prone man-made materials. "With plastic increasingly replacing wood in what once were wood-only applications, saw blades have to be able to cut through plastics without melting or chipping," explains Jay Forrest, vice president, Forrest Manufacturing.

The No-Melt blade has a unique tooth style and side clearances to produce cool, melt-free cuts on plastic sheets - even when stacked. It also delivers clean cuts on extruded profiles.

Forrest's No-Melt saw blades have a 5-inch face rake and are available in a variety of sizes - from 7 ¼" to 16" in diameter - including metric. The blades have 60, 80, 100 or 120 teeth and a 5/8 or 1-inch center hole, depending on their diameter.

Engineered for Strength and Durability
Like all Forrest blades, the No-Melt is precision engineered of the highest quality blend of corrosion-resistant C-4 micrograin carbide, coupled with proprietary grinding techniques. The result is a blade that is 40 percent stronger than conventional carbide-tip blades and that lasts 50 to 300 percent longer between sharpenings. When sharpening is required, state-of-the-art in-factory services are available at reasonable cost to ensure continued performance.

Forrest also uses the time-tested method of hand-straightening to achieve perfect flatness in its blades. Exceptional perimeter concentricity and side runnout of +/- .001 ensure chip and melt-free cuts, plus superior handling and performance.

A Long-standing Reputation for Quality and Service
For 60 years, Forrest Manufacturing has been supplying top-performing, high-quality saw blades to discriminating craftsmen. Made in America, Forrest blades carry a full-refund, 30-day guarantee and are available direct from the factory or from fine-quality dealers, retailers, and catalogs.
