Image Stabilizer features zero loss in resolution and FOV.

May 1, 2007 - Able to achieve image stability to 35 µrad, Energen Image Stabilization System consists of gyrosensor that measures vibration, lens assembly with CCD, digital signal processor, and resident software that enables fully automatic operation. System senses vibration and counteracts its effect (up to 100 Hz) via software-controlled optical elements so that CCD effectively sees Hi-Res image. Applications include mobile-, ground-, air-, or space-based observation platforms.

Image Stabilization System Features Zero Loss in Resolution and FOV

A new, compact, fully automatic image stabilization system for telescopes and any other type of mobile-, ground-, air-, or space-based observation platform is being introduced by Energen, Inc. of Lowell, Massachusetts.

The Energen Image Stabilization System consists of a gyrosensor that measures vibration, a lens assembly with a CCD, a digital signal processor, and resident software to provide fully automatic operation. Featuring zero loss in resolution or FOV (field of view), this compact system operates by sensing vibration and then counteracting its effect via software controlled optical elements so the CCD effectively sees a high resolution image.

Capable of handling vibrations up to 100 Hz, the Energen Image Stabiliza-tion System can achieve image stability to 35 µrad, depending upon the application. Suitable for use where it is necessary to stabilize images from any type of camera, this system can be packaged (including software) to meet specific OEM customer requirements. Applications include tele-scopes, reconnaissance aircraft, UAV's, and machine vision systems.

The Energen Image Stabilization System is priced from $4,995.00, depending upon configuration and quantity.
