Corr-Paint CP2000 Repairs Corroded Steel In Power Plants

Valley Cottage, NY - April 20, 2007

SUMMARY
Corr-Paint(TM) CP2000, a new high performance coating developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to repair highly corroded corrugated steel panels found in power plant boilers for operating temperatures to 400 oF (204 ºC).

FEATURES
Aremco's Corr-Paint(TM) CP2000 is a single part, low viscosity, polymeric coating that dries and cures at room temperature to a hard, non-porous, abrasion resistant surface. CP2000 is extremely resistant to hydrochloric, nitric, ethylene chloride and sulfuric acids, and has also survived long-term salt fog, salt spray and humidity testing of over 1000 hours.

Corr-Paint(TM) CP2000 is supplied with a viscosity of 200-240 cps, specific gravity of 1.05 gms/cc, solids by volume of 49.0%, and a solids by weight of 67.0%. It is typically applied in a 4.0 mil wet film thickness that dries to approximately 2.0 mils. The theoretical coverage rate in a 1.0 mil dry film is 722 ft2/gal.

Corr-Paint(TM) CP2000 can be used in combination with Aremco's Corr-Prep(TM) CPR2000, a solution that is used to prepare extremely smooth surfaces for coating. CP2000 can also be applied directly to severely rusted surfaces found in many maintenance and repair applications. Application methods include brush, roller or conventional pneumatic spray equipment.

Typical applications include the coating of OEM components such as motor housings, bag houses, cyclones, hoppers, pipelines and precipitators, to the coating of large structures found in MRO applications throughout the power, pulp and paper, and chemical processing industries.

CP2000 is available from stock in pint, quart, and gallon quantities. For more information about this advanced coating, please contact Aremco's Technical Sales Department.
