While able to print black-and-white projects at speeds to 1,350 ppm, enhanced speed Oce VarioStream® 9000 version features single-pass duplexing and offers migration path to color. High performance version ideal for high-volume black and white applications
BOSTON, April 17 -- Oce (NASDAQ:OCENY), a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, announces the introduction of a new high performance member of the Oce VarioStream(R) 9000 family. The new enhanced speed Oce VarioStream 9000 version can print black- only pages at 1,350 per minute -- 60 percent faster than the existing version.

The new version maintains the remarkable versatility of the Oce VarioStream 9000 platform. In addition to black-only pages at 1350 prints per minute, the system will print 2/2 and 3/3 output at their current speeds. The Graphic Arts Plus mode is also available at regular speeds for increased graphic quality. As a result, Oce offers more choices for service bureaus, print service providers and in-house print rooms for transaction, transpromo, graphic arts, direct mail and other applications. Customers benefit from the unique Oce Job Appropriate Color(TM) strategy to achieve the best balance of color and speed. Oce PRISMA(TM) workflow software complements the Oce VarioStream 9000 platform with capabilities for pre-press, document design, interoperability, job management and more.
