APCON Announces New Version of TITAN Software


WILSONVILLE, Ore., April 17 /-- APCON, Inc., the worldwide leader of physical layer switches, software and support services today announced that the latest version, v1.4, of its popular TITAN client/server software to manage test lab automation and enterprise applications is now available.

This new version of TITAN software incorporates numerous features and enhancements that increase both the functionality and ease of use. Improvements include:

-- Device wizards simplify setup and configuration
-- Dynamic device substitution
-- Find tool highlights a device in large complex topologies
-- Device indicators instantly show port availability
-- Enhanced logging and reporting

TITAN facilitates easy to understand connections of multiple APCON and other 3rd party physical layer switches creating a limitless virtual switch architecture capable of supporting thousands of ports. "Using TITAN, organization can leverage network resources across a distributed infrastructure to gain maximum utilization of valuable analyzers, tools and other network appliances," said APCON President and CEO Richard Rauch. "Our customers and the market continue to demand higher levels of functionality to automate IT processes, and TITAN provides a single software interface to manage the complexities of today's networks."

TITAN 1.4 builds upon the earlier released version which included such features as:

-- GUI and CLI interfaces
-- Storage and recall of complex topologies for quick access
-- Tapping and multi-casting of various network devices
-- Error checking and diagnostics

APCON is also offering TITAN software with a more cost competitive license structure. Available as a Windows software package, TITAN can be purchased "bundled" based on the number of deployed switches, or with a specific "site" license.
