TEAC America's VersaMax Ribbon Offers the Lowest Cost per Printed Disc in the Industry

MONTEBELLO, Calif., April 12 -- TEAC America launches VersaMax ribbon for its TEAC P-55 Dye-sublimation re-transfer thermal disc printer, the only Dye-sublimation thermal disc printer in the market today.

VersaMax ribbon now gives more options to customers to produce the lowest cost per printed disc by printing high-quality prints on the widest range of media.

"It is no longer necessary to print on only thermal media," says Les Luzar, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, TEAC America. "By using VersaMax ribbon, our customers can now print on the broadest selection of discs available, even on some silver lacquer discs which was not possible before. This is a real benefit to customers by giving them the ability to print on the disc of their choice. Their benefit is the higher production yields and the lowest cost per printed disc."

Unlike Photo or Color ribbons, VersaMax ribbon adds the proprietary adhesive panel to the 3 existing CMY (Cyan, Magenta and Yellow) panels. The P-55 Dye-sublimation disc printer can now print in 4 modes: Photo ribbon for dye-sublimation and the highest quality prints, Color ribbon for 4 color CMYK re-transfer printing, Black ribbon for "True Black" printing and VersaMax ribbon for high-quality printing on the widest range of media available.

VersaMax ribbon is now available from TEAC America's distribution channel.

TEAC America will exhibit its complete line of disc publishing products and the new VersaMax ribbon for the TEAC P-55 disc printer at the National Association of Broadcaster's Show (NAB) in Las Vegas Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, April 16-19th, 2007. TEAC America's booth number is SL13910.
