Notifier's NFS2-640 Now UL 864 Ninth Edition Listed
Intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panel for Maximum Flexibility
NORTHFORD, Conn. - NOTIFIER, part of the Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Life Safety Group, introduces its new, UL 864 Ninth Edition listed NFS2-640 intelligent fire alarm control panel. With its modular design and multiple display options, the NFS2-640 offers the sophistication and premier performance synonymous with NOTIFIER's ONYX Series of products.
As part of the ONYX Series, the NFS2-640 is engineered specifically for medium size applications, using technologies that maximize flexibility, quicken alarm response, and simplify maintenance and usability. The panel is ideal for mid-size commercial office buildings, strip malls, assisted living facilities, school buildings, and more.
The NFS2-640 comes with one Signaling Line Circuit (SLC), expandable to two, and supports up to 636 intelligent devices (159 sensors/159 modules per SLC). The NFS2-640 has four Notification Appliance Circuits (NACs) with built in synchronization protocol for System Sensor, Wheelock, and Gentex horns, strobes, and horn/strobes.
Furthermore, the NFS2-640 is easily expanded via the NOTIoFIREoNET(TM) intelligent fire alarm network to accommodate future facility growth and expansion.
The NFS2-640 offers an optional integrated digital voice evacuation system, ONYX® Digital Voice Command (DVC). This digital audio evacuation, paging and firefighter's telephone system uses eight channels of audio to deliver live, high quality emergency paging while simultaneously broadcasting multiple, distinct messages throughout an entire facility or selected areas.
The NFS2-640 also features NOTIFIER's patented FlashScan® intelligent device polling protocol, which exceeds worldwide code requirements for response time. This, combined with ONYX Intelligent Sensing technology - an integral part of all ONYX Series panels - ensures a faster response to smoke and heat conditions while substantially reducing nuisance alarms.
With the NFS2-640's auto-program feature, fire protection can be established in seconds. The highly intuitive menu options and built-in QWERTY keypad make it easier for facility managers to perform basic programming and maintenance functions, such as enabling/disabling of points and detector sensitivity testing.
