American Fibertek Demonstrates its V'nes Network Solution: the Only Dedicated Network System for Professional Security Applications

Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2007) - American Fibertek, Inc. (AFI) is demonstrating its innovative V'nes Video Network Enterprise Solution here at ISC West 2007. V'nes is the first and only integrated and standardized network transmission solution designed specifically for professional security applications with a unique open path to truly integrate IP and analog systems operation.

"V'nes provides security professionals with a cost-efficient and highly effective networking solution to achieve enterprise level systems integration. It delivers unsurpassed versatility relative to both networking capabilities and the means by which it can be configured and implemented," said Jack Fernandes, President and CEO of AFI.

V'nes addresses the different set-up and operational needs of both Security and IT Directors to provide easy system integration and balance between personnel responsible for security applications and the IP transmission backbone. Additionally, V'nes delivers extensive networking features and functionality with an open path allowing integration of IP products from other manufacturers' products (servers, video devices, access control, software, etc.) with any combination of V'nes components and software, including:

o Commander Series Switchers are fully managed 10 and 26 port network switches designed to provide IT Directors with complete control over network interfaces, and Security Directors with the ability to route video signals and data to network and broadband servers in a manner similar to setting up a matrix switching system. Commander Series Switchers also offer: a unique on-board environmental sensing and alarm notification of status and impending failures with complete logs; a built-in web server that does not require any external software and remote access using conventional browsers.

o Scout Series Environmental Monitoring Systems provide unprecedented remote monitoring of environmental conditions with notification of impending failures - applicable to any and all IP based systems components. Features include: up to 10 individual user defined temperatures, airflow and humidity sensor readings; 10 hard contact alarms and Aux inputs; two (2) bi-directional data communication ports; logs with up to 5000 entries for historical review; built-in web server and remote access via standard web browsers; ability to manage multiple units with AFI Pilot CS Management Software; ability to interface with any IP based system for comprehensive environmental monitoring.

o Maxi-View Series Video Streamers provide high performance video streaming with programmable bandwidth to accommodate virtually any network bandwidth requirements. Single and multiple channel solutions available with optional audio and PTZ control.

o Pilot Series Management Software Systems for V'nes, Commander Series Switchers, Scout Environmental Sensors and MaxiView Video Streamers. Pilot delivers video, data and voice across multiple network and wireless platforms with control of camera and recording functions, plus critical peer-to-peer communications. Key features include Dynamic Streaming Control: the ability to change up to 7 different critical settings such as resolution, bandwidth, GOP, noise level and images per second on the fly to match any recording or bandwidth requirements; the ability to cascade Commander network switches to accommodate any number of cameras; data integration based on standard data base configurations; and compatibility with over 250 IP cameras and most DVRs and video streamers including PTZ control for domes using Pelco P protocol.

Pilot Series Software is available in two configurations: Pilot Enterprise for systems requiring comprehensive video, audio, data, and sensor network management; Pilot Enterprise Lite for smaller systems with up to 256 cameras (32 cameras across 8 servers). Pilot Enterprise and Lite will also be offered in integrated embedded versions eliminating the need to purchase a separate computer operating system.

For additional management capabilities, the Pilot Series Software can be further enhanced with the addition of: Pilot Smart Analysis for database mining and feature enhancements; Pilot Smart Client for operation at the client level with access and operation of multiple servers; and Pilot Mobile Client for mobile access to Pilot servers for remote monitoring and control of video and database mining.

o MC Series Media Converters provide a cost-efficient means of integrating Ethernet and fiber based systems onto the same platform.

o Director Series Servers and Network Attached Storage (NAS) offer custom configured high performance storage solutions for applications that require an integrated total solution. Director servers can also be ordered pre-configured and loaded with Pilot embedded software.
