Amitelo AG Presents AmiVois, Competitor to Skype

ZURICH, Switzerland, March 20 -- Telecommunications provider Amitelo today launches a new release of its softphone AmiVois that because of excellent features is superior to its competitors. AmiVois comes with a new kind of encryption that makes wiretapping virtually impossible. In addition various language packages are included that so far have been ignored by competitors. On-net calls among AmiVois users are free of charge whereas calls to any mobile or fixed network are offered at very competitive rates. Every new AmiVois user receives a voucher that can be used e.g. for calls of up to 50 minutes to the German fixed net.

Amitelo today launches a new release of its softphone AmiVois. In addition to telephony, short messages, chatting and virtual conferencing are offered. Next release features will include video conferencing, web games, simple data transfer, and complete Microsoft office integration. A focal point of this Amitelo product is data and voice encryption: With partners from universities and experts from the private sector, Amitelo has provided AmiVois with a new type of encryption that makes wiretapping virtually impossible. As for privacy, this makes the product by far superior to its competitors.

Amitelo also sets a new benchmark in usability. In addition to English, German and French, for the first time a softphone will also be available in Arabic. In a later release Spanish, Russian, Chinese and Hindi will also be available. The quality of voice transmission will be very high, provided that there is sufficient bandwidth.

In case of too little bandwidth, the click4call feature establishes a call between two fixed net/mobile numbers which still results in savings of up to 75% compared to usual rates.

On-net calls among AmiVois users are free of charge whereas calls to any mobile or fixed network are offered at very competitive rates. A call to the German or Spanish fixed net for example costs only 1 cent per minute.

Amitelo will market AmiVois predominantly with distribution partners targeting emerging markets such as Africa and the Middle East where AMITELO has already established partner agreements to distribute AmiVois to far over 25 million customers in the next six months.

Amitelo is already working on the next release that will again offer many new features placing AmiVois well ahead of its competitors. More information about the product as well as its download and registration area can be found at www.amivois.net.
