Zero Downtime Tamper-Evident Bander / Labeler Also Does Full Sleeving

WHO BENEFITS? Pharmaceutical product manufacturers, food / beverage and vitamin suppliers; contract packers, companies who want the capability of banding and sleeving
with maximum security, high resolution graphics, in continuous operation with Zero Downtime

February 26, 2007. Norwalk, CT. PDC International Corporation, a developer and manufacturer of tamper-evident packaging and labeling machinery, has introduced a fast, multiple-use system that is unique in the packaging industry and can operate continuously with zero downtime.

PDC 75 Series Shrinksealers apply tamper-evident banding and labeling at up to 400 containers per minute, and can incorporate tear tab blades or slit tab blades for easy opening by consumers and medical staff. The 75 Series also applies full height bodysleeve labels at up to 300 cpm, depending on sleeve dimensions. For tamper evident body sleeves, the sleeve label encapsulates the cap, with a horizontal perforation for consumer tamper evidence. The built in Zero Downtime material accumulator allows continuous machine operation; no stopping for roll changes. This means higher line output and productivity, reducing per unit costs.

75 Series Shrinksealers use PDC's patented technology and tooling system that mechanically and positively controls the flow of sleeving material through feeding, cutting and application. The result is exceptional consistency over long periods of continuous use.

75 Series systems accommodate virtually any product geometry, including round, oval and square packages. These Shrinksealers are also compatible with the widest range of sleeving / labeling material, including PVC, PET, PETG, PLA and OPS shrink sleeves. Thin gauge material (40 micron) can also be used with this PDC technology.

PDC's 75 Series Shrinksealers allow operators to switch quickly from one job to the next thanks to tool-less changeover. Other user-friendly features include Motorized Height Adjustment and Production and I/O Monitoring on the HMI touch screen.

PDC equipment is engineered to use off-the-shelf components; that, and an available cluster lubrication package, simplify and reduce the costs of maintenance over time. The system is fully enclosed, with static eliminator, and available zero-access guarding, for maximum safety.
