Neopost Introduces Ds-80 Folder Inserter System

The DS-80 provides enhanced ease-of-use, increasing customer's mailroom efficiency and productivity, while reducing postal costs. The DS-80's unique, full-color touch screen can be reversed to allow operation from any angle. Neopost's load'n Go feature further simplifies the mailing process, as users need only to load documents and envelopes in to the machine and then press the "Go" button. The DS-80 automatically adjusts settings, saving them to memory for instant recall during future mailings. In addition, the folder inserter's operation requires the use of only three buttons, allowing anyone to easily run the machine- not just trained operators.
Each feeder on Neopost's DS-80 can accommodate different size documents. A non-stop operation feature allows users to link multiple feeders, so that when one feeder runs out of documents, the next feeder takes over to maximize productivity. The DS-80 also comes equipped with a conveyor stacker able to stack 150 envelopes or more with extensions limiting operator intervention and enhancing mailroom efficiency. Additionally, an innovative envelope separation mechanism is designed to feed a wide variety of envelope types, allowing users to maximize output while increasing flexibility. The unit's clamshell design offers quick access to all parts of the paper path in case of a stoppage, and the powerFold8 feature allows users to tri-fold up to eight sheets of paper. To ensure that every recipient receives the correct mail piece, the DS-80 provides double document security and optical mark recognition (OMR). Electro-mechanical thickness detection automatically detects document thickness as documents are fed into the machine and inserted into the envelopes, so that documents are not split into separate envelopes or combined into one. To completely safeguard the process, OMR guarantees that business-critical documents will arrive at the intended address, eliminating potentially costly errors.
Neopost's PrintMachine software solution can be used to further increase the value of the DS-80 by offering enhanced productivity automation and significant levels of postage savings. By leveraging CASS and PAVE certified address validation, PrintMachine software automatically confirms and corrects addresses to eliminate undeliverable mail. Additionally, PrintMachine takes advantage of postal discount rates by pre-sorting mail by zip codes, as well as automatically grouping together documents intended for the same addressee.
