With FEC Detection, Monics and SAT-DSA Software can detect convolution and Reed Solomon FEC formats to assist in identifying carriers using database of known signals and repeat interferers. In addition to detecting interfering signal under main carriers, software provides carrier under carrier(TM) interference detection and analysis. With DVB-S2 modulation detection, users can support signal characterization and interference detection for 16APSK and 32APSK.

SAT Releases New Software to Perform Advanced Satellite Signal Interference Identification
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Feb. 20 /-- SAT Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Integral Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:ISYS), released two new software options to their industry leading Monics and DSA product lines that extend their already unique ability to detect and finger print interfering signals.
FEC Detection is now available for Monics and SAT-DSA. Where customers for sometime could determine Symbol rate, BER and modulation format, SAT now detects the convolution and Reed Solomon FEC formats which adds to the list of parameters available to assist in identifying carriers using the products' database of known signals and repeat interferers.
Automatic Interference Detection has long been available in Monics Carrier Monitoring and Interference Detection systems and it provides detection of an interfering signal under the main carrier. SAT has also added automatic "carrier under carrier(TM)" interference detection and analysis capability. "SAT's unique technology of digitally removing the main carrier and analyzing the underlying signal, allows us to fully characterize any interfering signal in terms of modulation type, symbol rate and BER, even if the interfering carrier occupies the same frequency bandwidth as the main carrier," says Doug Krudop, VP Sales & Marketing at SAT.
Monics and SAT-DSA's latest software release also adds the capability for DVB-S2 modulation detection. With the latest Monics and SAT-DSA software, customers can now support signal characterization and interference detection for 16APSK and 32APSK.
