DeWalt Launches New Line of Generators with Increased Performance and Durability
-- Generators Feature New DeWALT Commercial Grade Engine and 18V Cordless Battery Start --
February 2007 - DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, announced its new line of generators (DG3000, DG4400B, DG6300B, DG7000B), which are designed with a CARB compliant DEWALT commercial grade engine, 18V cordless battery start and increased surge capacity. These features provide professional contractors with increased levels of performance, durability and ease of use.
Performance/Reliability
Each generator is powered by the new DEWALT commercial grade engine, which provides significant hours of engine life to meet the needs of commercial users. For increased performance, the engines are designed with an overhead valve, electronic ignition and an in-line fuel filter. A low-oil shut-off sensor provides increased reliability and GFCI-protected outlets facilitate safer operation of the unit. The line is also equipped with an oversized muffler and six cradle-style engine isolators for low noise and vibration.
For increased reliability, a proprietary, maintenance-free, brushless alternator is designed to deliver 25% more surge watts, allowing the user to start additional high current tools without causing the unit to bog down under demanding workloads.
Ease of Use
The DG4400B, DG6300B and DG7000B are equipped with a cordless battery start option, ideal for the rigorous and demanding use on any jobsite. The cordless start feature is reliable in all weather conditions and also provides greater flexibility on the jobsite as it utilizes the same cordless battery system at the core of the DeWALT 18V cordless tool platform.
Additionally, for increased productivity, each unit is designed with individual outlet breakers that allow jobsite crews to continue working if one outlet trips. Each generator is also built with a heavy-duty lifting hook for secure storage and easy transport on the jobsite.
Durability
DeWALT built the generators with a fully protected control panel and commercial grade materials, resulting in longer life and increased durability. A metal fuel tank is shielded from impact and prevents routine wear and tear on the jobsite. Durable semi-pneumatic (non-flat) wheels are designed to endure harsh working conditions for extended longevity.
DeWALT is a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools with more than 300 power tool and equipment products as well as 800 power tool accessories, including corded and cordless drills, saws, hammers, grinders, routers, planers, plate joiners, sanders, lasers, generators, compressors and nailers, as well as saw blades, metal and masonry drill bits, abrasives, screw driving accessories and more.
