For over 55 years, Charles River has used isolator technology both to maintain its nucleus colonies and to produce specialty strains, including large numbers of immunocompromised mice. More recently, Charles River has employed isolators to maintain transgenic rodent colonies. Customer demand has led us to offer these units for commercial sale.
The custom fabricated isolators are secure, durable, and easy to set up in any conditioned environment. Semi-rigid models include the 3' cube and 8' isolators. A 6' flexible film isolator is also available. All models are designed to be stacked two units high. The 3' isolators are available in right- and left-handed versions to facilitate stacking.
