J. J. Keller Introduces New Fire Safety Training Program

Neenah, WI - J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc. has introduced Fire Safety: Extinguishing Risk, a program designed to help employees protect themselves and their coworkers from the risks of fire, as well as help companies meet OSHA fire-safety training requirements.

At the core of the program is a 22-minute closed-captioned video that uses a "risk-control" approach, dramatizing a workplace scenario to show employees clearly how fire puts them at risk. The video covers: the "mechanics" of fires (how they happen), types of fires, how to identify and correct common hazards, how to respond in an emergency, evacuation procedures, and how to use portable fire extinguishers.

Along with the video, the program includes an instructor's guide that provides background information and training tips; 11 employee handbooks with a quiz and a receipt page to document training; and an awareness poster that reinforces key concepts. Additional copies of these materials, to train more employees, are available separately. A "Trainer Tools" CD-ROM is also included and provides customizable transparency masters, quizzes with answer keys, clip art, training logs and more.

J. J. Keller's Fire Safety: Extinguishing Risk program is available on DVD for $345
(143-DVD), or VHS (143-K) for $279. The DVD format includes a special "Message for Management," additional commentary from industry veterans, an interactive quiz with correct/incorrect remediation, and bonus sections on fire extinguishers that provide guidelines for safe use as well as a demonstration of an extinguisher in action. The DVD version also includes menu and chapter selections that allow for navigation and random access of topics.

These programs can be ordered by calling 1-800-327-6868. Callers should reference Action Code 14027 when ordering. A preview of the video is available online at www.jjkeller.com/fire2.
