The eMachines line of desktop PCs features a sleek case that will look stylish and contemporary in family rooms, dorm rooms and offices. In addition, the new case makes it easier for customers to access frequently-used ports and technology features.
With the addition of Microsoft Windows Vista, the new eMachines PC line is equipped to provide an easier, safer and more efficient computing experience. In order to take advantage of Microsoft Windows Vista, the eMachines line features advanced processors, ample memory, DirectX 9.0 graphics and the latest in extras that enhance digital media hobbies. Plus, the high-end model of the line, the eMachines T5224, comes equipped with an Intel Pentium dual core processor and the extra features that make it ready to handle Vista Home Premium.
The new line of eMachines PCs is available at leading retailers at starting prices from $349.99 to $529.99 after a mail-in or instant rebate up to $50.(1)

Editing digital photos and video, downloading music, burning CDs and viewing DVD movies is easy with the advanced features of the eMachines line and the new capabilities of Microsoft Windows Vista. Two models in the new PC line feature a leading-edge 15-in-1 Digital Media reader, which accepts virtually all of the most popular media cards and flash memory used in consumer electronics devices like digital cameras and digital video cameras. The PCs also feature six USB ports each, so consumer electronics devices as well as peripherals like printers can be directly connected.
Ready to be used for movie viewing and listening to CDs, the PCs come with either a CD-RW/DVD Combo drive or a Multi-format Double-Layer DVD+/-RW drive for burning and playing back MP3 music, video, photos and other content. The PCs have 6-Channel (5.1) High Definition audio capabilities for crisp, clear sound. DirectX 9.0 compatible graphics make them ready for popular games and movie viewing.
Customers who want to upgrade the systems in the future may do so. Each PC has an open PCI Express x16 slot that can house a dedicated graphics card. The systems also have an open 3.5-inch bay and 5.25-inch bay for future upgrades and expansion. The new eMachines desktop PCs are network and broadband-ready with 10/100 Ethernet LAN and a 56K v.92 fax/data-ready modem.
The new PCs come with features that maximize customer enjoyment. Each PC is pre-installed with 10 demo games and one hour of game play powered by WildTangent(R). In addition, each PC comes with Cyberlink(R) Power2Go(TM) for digital movie creation and playback. All of the new PCs also come with Microsoft(R) Digital Image Starter Edition 2006 (with 60-day Digital Image Standard 2006 Trial) for editing and managing digital pictures.
Each of the PCs comes with Microsoft(R) Works 8.5, a 60-day trial of Microsoft(R) Office(R) 2007 Home Student Edition, Microsoft(R) Money 2006 and Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer 7. The systems are equipped with Adobe(R) Reader 8.0, a six month membership of AOL 9.0,(2) Google Toolbar, Google Desktop Search, RealNetworks RealPlayer(R), Quicktime(R) and a 30-day trial of Napster 3.0.(3)

This includes a 90-day trial of McAfee Internet Security Suite(TM) (Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Spyware, Firewall and Parental Control).(6) A pro-active service tool called BigFix(R) is included on all eMachines systems.(7) With the customer's permission, BigFix identifies and sends messages offering updates to enhance the performance or capabilities of the PC.
